Welcome to Flea Market Garden Style, where we’re well-rooted in a decidedly unstuffy approach to landscapes. Around here we’re firm believers that gardens look best when they are lush and layered—if (ahem) not a smidge unkempt. The more varied and abundant the flora and fauna, the better, as far as we’re concerned! We also have a soft spot for outdoor spaces brimming with old pieces—from cast-off tea kettles to architectural elements— that have been given new life. Whether you gravitate toward romantic, rustic or even modern, we’re all about growing your own totally unique style. This book celebrates the very best of the perfectly imperfect aesthetic with 192 pages chock-full of hundreds of fresh ideas for planters, lighting, furniture and more. Plus, you’ll get to explore seven real-life dream gardens. Get ready to be inspired as you chart you own course down the garden path.

New Hope for American Art was authored, designed and published by James M. Alterman, an expert in the field of Pennsylvania Impressionist and Modernist painting. A longtime collector and owner of two fine art galleries, Alterman wanted to create a user-friendly book intended not only to educate collectors and enthusiasts about this art but to help train one's eye. The book offers valuable tips on how to avoid common mistakes often experienced by new collectors drawn from the author's personal experiences as a collector and fine art dealer.
