Calm; Decay Volume 1

The Hunters Are Coming

For a century, the shrouded world of Chryssus has crept upon the haven of Passerine. As a child born between these worlds, Ashra Swallow's very survival is called into question by the laws keeping the peace-seeking Passerinians safe. With nowhere to hide, Ashra is forced to flee into to the murky depths of Chryssus, where more than mindless monstrosities wait for him in the dark. Who can be trusted, and what will Ashra have to leave behind in order to survive among those hungry enough to escape their shadows?

Carter Bowman's stories toe the line between the suspense of Stephen King and the sensibilities of Neil Gaiman.  A graduate of Penn State University, Carter cut his teeth as a sommelier in the craft wine and spirits industry before pursuing full-time writing. A Bucks County native, Carter's blog focuses on helping other writers to develop their best stories, and is a proud participant in both the fiction and non-fiction community. His publishing company, Ghost Pepper Press, seeks to help new authors to build their platform and create polished, professional works of their own.
